MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT - MENSAJE DE LA PRESIDENTA

Welcome to the Hispanic Bar Association of Central Florida! We welcome you to explore our website, follow us on social media, and join our organization.

My name is Roselin Figueroa Watts and it is my honor and privilege to serve as President for 2024. As President, I embrace, with great confidence and optimism, the privilege and responsibility to carry out the mission of the HBACF. 

 During my tenure in law school, I was fortunate to be an active member of the Hispanic Bar Association. The warmth and inclusivity of the Hispanic Bar always made me feel at home. Now, as president, I eagerly anticipate leading the charge forward, and I am committed to continuing this legacy of impact and service. 

The  HBACF is a very active bar association. With a membership that consists of over a hundred Hispanic attorneys (in private, corporate, government, and public interest positions), judges, law professors, and law students, we are truly the voice of Orlando's Hispanic legal community. Our goal is to foster a more diverse legal landscape and to address the many issues that affect the Hispanic community. 

Although I strive to continue the great work that was started by Presidents before me, my goals as President of the HBACF are simple: 

(1) To ensure that the HBACF is financially and organizationally sound and  prepared to meet the challenges of the future; 

(2) To continue to provide  education and support to the Hispanic community; 

(3) To promote the  recognition, representation, and advancement of the Hispanic community at  all levels, including supporting Hispanic attorneys to seek political, governmental, and judicial office;  and

(4) To assist law students on their path to a legal degree mentor young lawyers and guide them as they embark on their legal careers on legal careerof.
