Who We Are

The Hispanic Bar Association of Central Florida (HBACF) was founded in the 1990s by a group of Hispanic attorneys who recognized the need for a local organization dedicated to supporting Hispanic legal professionals while serving the broader Hispanic community. The organization’s founding members—known as the “Olive Garden Four” after their initial meeting at the Olive Garden in East Orlando—established a bar association committed to advancing the interests of Hispanic attorneys and welcoming all legal professionals who shared its mission, regardless of national origin, ethnicity, or gender.

From its inception, the HBACF has remained dedicated to promoting professional development, fostering inclusion within the legal community, and advocating for initiatives that protect and advance the interests of the Hispanic community and the community at large.

The HBACF is dedicated to enhancing diversity and equality in the legal field while empowering the Hispanic community in Central Florida through education, advocacy, and support for legal professionals. Our mission is to advocate for the Hispanic community, promote awareness of legal rights, and expand access to the courts and legal system by providing resources, support, and opportunities that strengthen our community.
